Session 3: May 5-6, 2012

We will:
- explore the relationship of the tongue and jaw to head and neck

- enhance communication  with awareness of tone, language and learning styles

- practice presentation skills for group teaching

- work with professional singers under Ann’s guidance

Session details:
-  Course hours are on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am – 4 pm.
-  Each session will include one Balance and Ease Floor Class and one 1-hour private lesson.

*Students must be certified to teach the Alexander Technique from a certifying body.

The course is limited to 8 participants.

Ann Rodiger trained with Joan and Alex Murray and has been teaching the Alexander Technique for 29 years. She is the Director of the Balance Arts Center’s AmSAT-certified Teacher Training Course in New York City. At the Balance Arts Center Ann offers classes and workshops in the Alexander Technique for teachers, singers, dancers, meditators, and yogis. Working with opera singers in New York City, Berlin and Antwerp, Ann teaches the Alexander Technique to singers who have appeared in Opera Houses worldwide. Ann created and organizes the annual “Freedom To Move Conference on Dance and The Alexander Technique” held in NYC. She offers workshops to corporations based on her book, “How to Sit: Your Body at Work”. Known for her grounded, balanced direction, Ann’s classes are filled with coordinated exploration and lively discussion.
