Alexander Technique for Dancers- Finding ease and releasing effort.

This class, hosted by Freeskewl and led by Alice MacDonald, will provide an introduction to the Alexander Technique which provides us with a process for creating awareness around how we are thinking and moving. As we learn to include and increase our own awareness we can then use this information to create new choices and make changes in our habitual ways of thinking and moving that allow us to release effort and explore more ease and freedom. Together we will spend time building awareness around the connections through our bodies and with space, explore dynamic balance, and cultivate a sense of flow from the inside out. We will practice embodying these ideas that foster being available, present, and alert for making choices in our dancing and our daily lives.

This class is led by Alice MacDonald (BAC Faculty).

To register, email Alice for the Zoom information. Class fee is by suggested donation.
