Alexander Technique Principles - 3 Day Intensive in Türkiye
Expand mind/body awareness through the Alexander Technique with Ann Rodiger and the Balance Arts Center faculty. Each day will be devoted to a different AT Principle, helping you explore thought and movement habits, overall balance, and sensory awareness. The 3 days will help you establish a new "normal" for your interactions with yourself, the environment, and your art form. Students will receive individualized verbal and hands-on instruction during the intensive, to help you fully embody your learning.
Alexander Technique for Instrumentalists - AT Application Workshop in Türkiye
Bring your instruments and we will look at how you support and interact with them during practice and performance. We will look at your own body as part of the instrument and how you expand your awareness to include yourself, your instrument, and the music. Students will receive individualized verbal and hands-on instruction during the workshop.
Alexander Technique - Weekend Intensive in Türkiye
Integrate your senses into a unified field of awareness during this 2 day workshop. We will focus on balancing and awakening your sensory experiences as you integrate your mind and body. Students will receive individualized verbal and hands-on instruction during this intensive.
Balance Arts Center’s Free Online Intro to AT & Open House
Join the BAC’s Virtual Open House & Free Intro to Alexander Technique! This 1 hour session gives you the opportunity to meet with Training Course Director Ann Rodiger, and learn about the training programs, their structure and curriculum, and the BAC’s pedagogical point of view. Bring any questions you might have. We look forward to meeting you!

The Alexander Technique Principles Certification provides you with an overview and survey of the AT principles, application of these principles to your specific art form, and the ability to recognize and communicate the principles as they apply to your learning and teaching situations.
This intensive takes place over the course of 3 separate weekends. Level I will run September 19th & 20th, 2026.

Hypermobility & EDS: Strategies for Stability & Coordination - Online & In-Person 2 Class Series
This 2-class series, for those with Hypermobility & EDS, will guide you towards improved proprioception, coordination, and a better relationship to gravity. You can find better overall balance through these strategies, enabling you to negotiate daily activities with more ease and less pain. This class series will take place online via Zoom and in person at the Balance Arts Center in NYC, NY.
This class series is led by Ann Rodiger, who lives with EDS.

Are you wanting to make time and space for creativity, and to have some accountability for following through on creative endeavors? This class series will infuse the Alexander Technique with activities designed to encourage creative expression.
This class will take place online via Zoom.

This class offers a supportive, peer-centered space to explore how principles of the Alexander Technique can be applied to the lived experience of ADHD. Rather than a treatment or therapy session, it is a shared inquiry—an opportunity to exchange perspectives, experiment, and learn together.
Please note: The Alexander Technique is an educational and exploratory practice and is not a substitute for therapy or medical care. This class is not led by licensed medical or mental health professionals.
Online pricing: $15/session, $50 for all four
In-Person pricing: $20/session, $70 for all four

Performers will choose a path of interest - acting, dance, or music - and collaborate with other artists to create an interdisciplinary night of performance. This unique offering will feature a rehearsal process and a fully-realized performance in a theatre space.
This series is open to all skill levels–all that is required is a desire to engage with the creative performance process in some way.
Juggling Through the Alexander Technique - Online Workshop
Do you want to learn to juggle? Experience the many benefits of juggling by learning to consciously apply Alexander Technique principles to the basic 3-ball cascade. Students will experiment in open practice with the instructor to hone focus, improve hand-eye coordination, and enhance spatial awareness. This workshop is suitable for brand-new jugglers and beginners looking to improve their skills. Please provide your own juggling balls.
This workshop will meet online via Zoom.

Participants will practice supportive strategies to increase your confidence and adaptability in your standing and walking.

We will be having two trainee deep dive weeks this summer. You can sign up for these as you would for regular training course classes. These in-person classes will also be open to teachers already certified in AT.
Alexander Technique Group Class - In Person
This weekly Introduction to the Alexander Technique will explore basic principles of the Alexander Technique that guide you toward finding a better balance and dynamic body posture that you will learn to apply to all of your activities!

BAC Trainee Practicum provides time for trainees to practice what they are learning in class with the guidance of a Training Course Teaching Assistant. Content will focus on the questions trainees bring to the session.
One Pound Weight Class - Online & In Person
In this class you will explore how working with lighter weights can be a valuable way to strengthen and build tone. What you learn and practice in this class can be applied to activities in your everyday life such as exercising, lifting and carrying things, and more!
